CLINIC
Scorekeeping Clinic Slide
Show - This
is the PowerPoint presentation slide show from the 2009 Scorekeeper/Timekeeper
Training Session in various formats:
- PowerPoint slides (.ppt
file). This is what I showed at the clinic on 1/2/2009.
- Portable Document Format (.pdf file) from the PowerPoint,
with six slides per page.
- Quicktime movie (.mov
file), generated from the Keynote version of the presentation. You can
put this into iTunes and run it on your iPod, if you're so inclined.
Tips for the first day:
- Use pencil. You'll find some in the pocket of the notebook,
along with a pencil sharpener, and probably an eraser. It's often nicer
to bring your own pencil, a mechanical one, and one of those white erasers
that doesn't smudge.
- Read the rulebook, carefully. Often the coaches don't know
the rules very well, and you can help them if you know where to find everything.
- Have fun. This is a great league, with people who care
about teaching kids good basketball skills. Enjoy the mayhem.
RULES
SCOREBOOKS
- Official Scoresheet blank
(2009 version, pdf)
- Example scoresheet, coming soon for 2009.
- This is the old "game
sequence" slide show that is slightly outdated (I
didn't show it this year), but may be useful to some of you for review purposes.
HELP
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
MANUALS
- LED-3 Electronic
Scoreboard Manual (I think these are the ones that have power input
on side, otherwise nearly identical to LED-4)
- LED-4 Electronic Scoreboard Manual
(these have power input on bottom, otherwise nearly identical to LED-3)
- Old AT-239 Game Clock
Manual (old clocks, the little white ones). Use these in conjunction with
the flip scoreboards and the cowbells, if the power goes out or the LED's
stop working for some reason.
