If a player comes out of the game before the quarter ends, put a circle around the slash.

For a player who comes in after the start of a quarter, use a backward slash (" \ ").

After a player has completed the entire quarter, put a backwards slash over the forward slash, so that an " X " appears in the box for the quarter.
