End of 1st Quarter - Put a back slash (" \ ") across the forward slash for any player who played for the entire quarter, from start to finish. This is important for verification of playing time later in the game.

Draw a line along the left edge of the first quarter box in the individual points section; this helps you remember to use the 2nd quarter box from now on.

Draw a line after the last box crossed out in the running score section; indicate the quarter just completed above this line.

Write the total points for the quarter above the "First" column. Reconcile this total with the total points shown in the running score between the "FT" and "1st" markings.

Reconcile the personal fouls with the team fouls.
